h1. Bone inventory concept Initial meeting: 2024-12-09 Participants: Alex, Bernhard, Nina Current (Januar 2025) approach is to: * Add a new OpenAtlas class *bone* (CIDOC class E20 - human remains) * Hard coded *Bone inventory* [[bone_inventory|hierarchy]] * Add a system type *Bone preservation* with options: ** undefined (default) ** 0% ** 1-24%% ** 25-74% ** 75-99% ** 100% ** Number: used as "value type" to track counts of *Bone fragments* like, e.g. Rib 3-10 L/R *** empty: no information available *** 0: no fragments are present *** 1+: positive integer as count of existing fragments h3. To do * Build prototype * Test with example data from FemCare Vienna h3. Structure Besides connecting entities to category types, they will also connect between with P46 (composed of) to form a hierarchy * These structure applies only to "editable" categories, others are used for display only h3. Create new entries * Data can be entered in a "guided" way starting with a button at the tool view of stratigraphic units * We split the [[bone_inventory|categories]] into groups for easier data entry * Default of *Bone preservation* will be *undefined* but entities for them will still be created for e.g. adding a description h3. Adding information * Bone inventory values can be added/adjusted similar to entering * Once created it will be possible to add information in the detail view: ** A description can be added (like with all other entities) ** Images ** Additional types (which can be added via the type hierarchy interface), e.g. diseases, dimensions, ... h3. Analysis Sadly an analysis or a sum up function won't be possible due to inconsistency in used model, e.g. * The sum of the parts of a category not always cover the entire category * Mixing of arbitrary percent values (e.g. "25-74%") with arbitrary numbers where it is not known which value would present 100%
