h1. OpenAtlas and ARCHE for INDIGO Meeting 2022-10-19 Updated information in the course of the meeting is %{color:green}in color%. Every participant is welcome to add and adapt. h2. Participants * OpenAtlas: Alexander Watzinger, Bernhard Koschiček-Krombholz * ARCHE: Massimiliano Carloni h2. About The work and data flow for INDIGO is quite different. Because of the large amount of media data it will be stored directly in ARCHE. OpenAtlas will than be used to add and structure data. At the end the additional metadata should be of course again stored in ARCHE too. This meeting is about discussing and planning the communication between OpenAtlas and ARCHE h2. Workflow and synchronization * %{color:green}As little synchronization between ARCHE and OpenAtlas as possible (only one way workflow)% * %{color:green}Best way from ARCHE to OpenAtlas with as much information as possible% * %{color:green}What happens, if new data is stored in ARCHE? 'Button' in OpenAtlas to fetch the new data% * %{color:green}If data is entered in OpenAtlas, ARCHE can fetch an XML/JSON-LD with information created in OpenAtlas% * %{color:green}Technical metadata taken form the file and the metadata created in OpenAtlas should be stored separately in ARCHE% h2. Howto proceed * %{color:green}#1848 After a test ARCHE collection with some sample data is provided, Bernhard will look into an API "fetch" function to import metadata (and ideally a thumbnail) into OpenAtlas% ** %{color:green}Example for thumbnail: https://arche-thumbnails.acdh.oeaw.ac.at/?id=https%3A%2F%2Farche.acdh.oeaw.ac.at%2Fapi%2F4812&width=500&height=500% ** %{color:green}https://app.swaggerhub.com/apis/zozlak/arche/3.5#/default/get__resourceId__metadata% ** %{color:green}GET {resourceId}/metadata/ and format application/ld+json will output and json ld% * %{color:green}At the same time Massimiliano will look into extracting (and storing) as much metadata as possible (e.g., Exif and IPTC)% h2. Research needed * %{color:green}Which format is useful for ARCHE to get metadata from OpenAtlas%
