h1. FemCare Vienna Meeting 2025-01-23, 10:30 Location: "Novetus":https://www.novetus.at/ Updated information in the course of the meeting is %{color:green}in color% and/or marked with an ✅. Every participant is welcome to add and adapt. This is the agenda and protocol of OpenAtlas specific topics from the meeting. h2. Participants * *OpenAtlas* ** Alexander Watzinger * *FemCare Vienna* ** Eva Riedlsperger ** Felix Kaufmann ** Hannah Grabmayer ** Julia Bumberger ** Julia Gebke ** Martin Scheutz ** Michaela Binder (online) h2. Topics * Is the information about e.g. patient records and grave findings connected? E.g. do we know about persons treated and have information about their excavated remains? %{color:green}-> Unfortunately available data doesn't provide enough information to create direct connections between known persons and buried persons% h3. Bone Inventory * #1473 "Tool: Bone Inventory" ✅ * Show prototype (https://demo-dev.openatlas.eu/tools/bones/81161) ✅ * Reference system %{color:green}-> There doesn't seem to be an international/well known standard vocabulary for bone inventory available. Although unfortunate, it also gives us more freedom to make adaptions.% * %{color:green}Although not many there seem to be also some child skeletons available. For them a different structure will be needed so we created an issue for that (#2463).% * %{color:green}Because there seems to be additional information for bone parts available (e.g. x-ray scans), it definitely makes sense that the individual parts are reference able, can have descriptions, types, images ...% h3. Sample data from Felix master thesis * There are nearly 6,000 data sets. Is this just a sample or all that will be entered? %{color:green}->In sum they are about 6,000% * It might be possible to import them and create (+link) e.g. respective persons automatically. But difficult because of inconsistent spelling/formatting and still would have to be checked manually. %{color:green}->It turned out this data is already available in a more structured way (spreadsheet with columns about data points). We will proceed once we got these.% * Which automatic information extraction do we aim for? Some ideas: ** Persons ** Events (entry, leave, death, ...) ** Diseases %{color:green}->All above were agreed on. We will take a closer look when more structured data is available.% h3. %{color:green}General background information% %{color:green}There seems to be a lot of background information available and of course we aim to acquire as much as possible in a structured way, e.g.:% * %{color:green}History of institutions% * %{color:green}Information about staff% * %{color:green}Food orders% * %{color:green}...% h3. %{color:green}How to proceed% %{color:green}We will schedule meetings to show and discuss how to enter different available data. If possible we will also try to combine some meetings in the beginning to also discuss e.g. general data entry strategies.%
