- Administrative (Who will handle this stuff in the future?)
- Who is responsible for filling out the metadata like topCollection, PI, curator, etc. (#2568)
-> Responsibility of project leads, checked by ARCHE team
- Talk about Datenübergabevertrag
- Communicates issues (e.g. License not correct, wrong extension etc.) to project team
-> Direct communication between project members and ARCHE team but with OpenAtlas team in the loop to join if needed
- Meet with bITEM team?
-> Yes, a poll for possible dates in September will be created
Metadata information for files¶
From the issue: #2466
- hasMetadataCreator: The project team will provide a list of metadata creators, which will be used for all metadata ->can be removed from our side
- hasDescription: we include the description, which is stored in OpenAtlas. Should also information about the linked entities like places and persons etc. be included? ->If no external reference system is available, then put it in the description. Otherwise, create a named entity linked to that reference system
Issues¶
- "/tmp/venus/jpeg";"234710.jpg";"ERROR";"MIME/extension mismatch";"Extension: jpg, MIME type: image/tiff": Image has a wrong extension
- Persons / Organisations for license holder, creator etc. are problematic. There will be a solution by OpenAtlas. ->#2570
- Last meeting, "acdh:hasOwner" was entitled to be mandatory, but in https://arche.acdh.oeaw.ac.at/browser/api/rootTable/en it is not mandatory.
-> It was confirmed that owner isn't mandatory anymore
- acdh:hasLicensor = OpenAtlas License Holder -> acdh:hasRightsHolder is the same as acdh:hasLicensor
- acdh:hasRightsHolder = OpenAtlas Creator -> acdh:hasCreator = OpenAtlas Creator
- Using Unicode characters in https://id.acdh.oeaw.ac.at/ named entity identifiers (e.g. https://id.acdh.oeaw.ac.at/Сергей_Марцынюк). Technically it's perfectly fine, but historically we transliterated to plain ASCII.
- acdh:hasLicense URIs not matching our licenses vocabulary
> Should it link to the vocabulary or is it just the naming? Or both?
> no change needed, original links will work too (but have to be conform to be recognized by ARCHE)
- lack of license-related properties for some resources (as expected) -> issues has to be corrected by bITEM team
- lack of a top collection and collections metadata (as expected) -> will be added manually
- if there is a reference, add the reference as named entity of class acdh:Publication and link it to media file with acdh:isSourceOf
bITEM¶
When and who from ARCHE joins the meeting with bITEM team to discuss the following:
- Going over file checker issues
- PDF/A violations
- duplicated files
- license holder/creator issue
- license issues
- filling out top collection fields
-> Bernhard will create a Termino for September
Action points¶
- Create an option for managers to see problematic entries (#2580), so they can resolve these on their own (even without involvement of ARCHE or OpenAtlas team)
- Add references as acdh:Publication
- Enrich the description of files
- Create poll for meeting with bITEM in September
- Adapt the file structure
- Expand creator, license holder fields in OpenAtlas (#2570)
