Description

As Lara pointed out in our last meeting meeting the order at multi type select fields is different than in the detail view of entity.
It looks like the order at multi type select fields is not alphabetically. But of course they should be, to make the views more consistent.

Update
Related entities in views and forms are now all sorted alphabetically which is more consistent and helps with the overview especially when dealing with entities that have a lot of links.

  • Subject changed from Sync order of type items in forms to Sorting of related entities in views and forms
  • Description updated (diff)
  • Status changed from In Progress to Closed

This is now solved in the develop version and will be part of the next release.
Like the update in the description: Related entities in views and forms are now all sorted alphabetically which is more consistent and helps with the overview especially when dealing with entities that have a lot of links.

Regarding the provided screenshots: some views might still look a little "strange" because although the sorting is alphabetically, first the capitalized entries are shown and than the others e.g. (with just some random example to demonstrate):
  • Asia
  • Europe
  • africa

Thanks again to Lara for reporting and providing examples.
