Description

Hello,

In my current project, there is an initiative (Terminology Services 4 NFDI) that creates widgets for lookup service of vocabulary/ontology (https://github.com/nfdi4health/semlookp-widgets?tab=readme-ov-file)

These widgets are meant to be integrated with any research software that would like to use this sort of terminology service.

The application I can think of at the moment is something like current wikidata implementation where users can search all terms when typing the name they are looking for.

This initiative is looking for potential use cases and will provide support for implementing the widgets.

I am not a software developer but perhaps your team may take a look at this and see whether it can be of any use or feasible.

The contact person can be reached via (Roman Baum)

Dear Mr Hsu,

thank you very much for the suggestion - we have indeed been looking into more low-threshold ways to import existing controlled vocabularies and resources.

Since most humanities vocabularies are hosted on Skosmos - type systems (we run such a repository ourselves) we are primarily aiming at importing SKOS resources.

Will will bear in mind this interesting implementation though.
