Start page¶

The idea is to improve the start page for users.

Areas of interest¶

• Overview of project data for existing and new users
• Workflow, e.g. provide quicker access for frequently tasks
• "Friendlier" layout, e.g. it should be informative but not confusing or even intimidating

Content¶

At the moment following information is provided at the start page:

• Information about login and link to feedback
• Table with overview of classes
• Table with latest entries
• Top navigation bar with links to
  • Manual
  • Model
  • Reference systems
  • Network visualization
  • Frontend (if configured)

Ideas¶

• Configurable dashboard. I liked an approach like in e.g. Redmine where it is possible to:
  • Add/remove info boxes
  • Info boxes can be re-arranged with drag and drop

• 2024 July - Matthias (APIS) -> they don't really have a dashboard but an interesting approach to combine overview table list sites with an advanced search panel

Rodellas proposal¶

• First page: No menu
  • Head: Icon and title of project
  • First and Main Body: Large Photo and description of project provided for user (large Font)
  • Second Body:
    • kind of dashboard inviting user to 'Info' o acces to some important entities: 'Sources', 'Events'
    • foot with rotating entity content (person X: vla, bla / source Y: bla, bla / event Z: bla, bla
    • Link to openatlas app
  • Third Block explaining OpenAtlas, capacities, Documentacion
