Description

As far a a I remember it was asked at the Hackathon to show a spelling example for references when adding/updating a reference (or something similar).

@ Roland, I think you brought it up but couldn't find a ticket. Can you please expand on that (which view, what text should be shown, ...) and assign the ticket back me.

I think he wanted a field, where a citation example is shown, when one is adding a bibliographic entity.

The following text would be my suggestion to put under the input field as citation guidelines. It is inspired by the Archaeologia Austriaca guidelines (https://austriaca.at/0xc1aa5576_0x00329c54). However, as we cannot use further styling options like italic, I adapted it to our needs:

Journal articles:

Eichert et al. 2016

Stefan Eichert, Bernhard Koschicek, Mihailo Popović, Digitising Patterns of Power (DPP): A Digital Approach towards Recording, Managing, Analysing and Presenting Archeological and Historical Information based on Case Studies from Eurasian Mountainous Regions. In: Acta Archaeologica Carpathica 51 (2016) 257-283.

[A slash / separates journal volume number and issue number, as well as volume year if the year is not the same as the publication year, which is always put in brackets (). E.g. Fundberichte aus Österreich 20/1981 (1982)]

[Until two authors 'Eichert / Watzinger 2020', three or more authors 'Eichert et al. 2020'. If the same authors and year are already in the refereces 'Eichert / Watzinger 2020a']

Books and book chapters:

Eichert 2012

Stefan Eichert, Frühmittelalterliche Strukturen im Ostalpenraum. Studien zu Geschichte und Archäologie Karantaniens. Aus Forschung und Kunst 39 (Klagenfurt 2012).

Eichert 2018

Stefan Eichert, Griffons and Birds. Mediterranean Motifs on Early Medieval Enamelled Disc Brooches in Central Europe. In: Jörg Drauschke, Ewald Kislinger, Karin Kühtreiber, Thomas Kühtreiber, Gabriele Scharrer-Liška, Tivadar Vida (Eds.), Lebenswelten zwischen Archäologie und Geschichte. Festschrift für Falko Daim zu seinem 65. Geburtstag. Monographien des RGZM 150 (Mainz 2018) 113-122.

Theses:

Eichert 2011

Stefan Eichert, Frühmittelalterliche Strukturen im Ostalpenraum. Studien zu Geschichte und Archäologie Karantaniens. Dissertation, University of Vienna. (2011).

Furthermore, when entering a new reference (+Bibliography), there is no field for entering the type of reference (e.g. article, book...):
https://thanados.openatlas.eu/reference/insert/bibliography/131179

While, when editing a reference, this option is available:
https://thanados.openatlas.eu/reference/update/131185

Thank you for the text, we could place it below the form when inserting or updating.

Should the whole text show up at bibliography and/or editions? e.g. https://demo.openatlas.eu/reference/update/1603

Yes, I believe it would be useful here as well. Also, see my comments regarding the differences between the entering and the editing mode of references above.
