Description
Making some features optional in the profile to not clutter the user interface. Some ideas:
- File upload
- Administrative units
- Historical places

I agree with you, except with sub events. It is a core feature and it is possible, that the PI doesn't know that user need it, and user maybe doesn't know that this feature exist.

Removing some ideas:
- Sub events: @ Berni, good point, I removed this option
- specified type hierarchies: @ Stefan, like already discussed in #929 (Module Options): configurable type display sounds like a very useful feature. It would be great if you add a new issue for this because it isn't quite in the scope of modules.
- Export: is only available for admin/manger anyway

Closing this issue because most of the original ideas are already implemented or obsolete.
Improving the UI is an ongoing process and maybe we should make a workshop again to discuss it again in general.
