Support right-to-left writing

Description
I am entering Arabic script texts and it would be helpful to have support for right-to-left writing.
UpdateSome thoughts about the implementation:
- Check if enhancing the text area widget is possible
- Look out for possible issues, e.g. at the search
- What to do with "one line" input fields, e.g. the name input field
- Should this be a general option, e.g. configurable in profile?
- Start date changed from 2024-11-19 to 2024-10-17
- Follows Feature #2369: Text annotation widget added
- Description updated (diff)
- Category set to UI
- Status changed from New to Acknowledged
- Target version set to Wishlist
Thank you András for reporting. This would be a very useful feature for users working with right-to-left languages, e.g. Arabic.
I discussed it with colleagues and according to them enhancing the text widget would be possible but there might be issues elsewhere, e.g. searching in the database.
Also I'm not sure if or what to do with "one line" input fields, e.g. the name input field.
However, because we definitely should implement the text annotation widget (#2369) first, I put it on the wishlist for now. Once the annotation widget is implemented we can look at this issue in more detail.
