Description

Answer

Because of the CIDOC-CRM we only use unformatted text. It is an implementation independent model so the tools for viewing/manipulating data could be web-based (html) or a java stand alone client and so on. Using formatted text (e.g. html) would break the implentation independence and compatibilty to other systems.

Nevertheless thanks for reporting, I'm sure the issue will come up again and now its documented.

Report

When adding texts (Source Original Text or Source Translation) to Documents, it is not possible to apply a structure to it - it is just a single text block.
It is not possible to add an empty line or paragraphs, or to underline or italicize text.

e.g.: Straßburger Eide
http://openatlas.craws.net/admin/document/view/id/121

See attached .txt file for the original structure of the text.

(Don't know if this is already on a to-do-list.)
