MAMEMS and Approaching Byzantium meeting 2021-12-21¶

The meeting will be about workflows when sharing the same database, introducing new features and discussing questions.

Topics¶

• Switch to new major version 7.0.0, early adaption or better to wait? Zachary and Nicholas agreed to be early adopters so they get new features sooner but also have a higher change to encounter bugs which they will than kindly report
• New logos Nicholas is already in contact with Jan, Zachary will have more specifics next year

Events¶

• Visits like a pilgrimage
• Acquisitions -> As of now it's possible to change ownership of real estate but not artifacts. In case of artifacts it could still be tracked as a movement of the artifact, e.g. from one museum to another
• Nicholas brought up the interesting questions how to enter natural disasters, e.g. an earthquake see #1620
