Feature #2643
openImport functions for reference systems
Description
I would like to have some importer for reference systems. This would be the first import action in a freshly openatlas DB. Maybe I haven't read the documentation carefully (as my preious post). A thousand of apologies if it is my fault.

- Subject changed from Importer for reference systems to Import functions for reference systems
- Category set to Data import/export
- Status changed from New to Acknowledged
- Target version set to Wishlist
Thank you for the feature request.
The import functions are to avoid to have to manually enter/copy already existing structured data, especially if we talk about hundreds, thousands or even more data entries.
In the case of reference systems we expect not such a huge quantity but it might still be useful to have an import function for them as well, so we put in on the wishlist for now.
- Usually an OpenAtlas backend instance is restricted for registered users
- These references are ideally valid for a long time. A presentation site (especially when made static) can be made available for a much longer time with minimal effort.
- The OpenAtlas backend isn't really suitable for presenting information to casual visitors who landed there via reference links from somewhere else
Nevertheless you can of course link an OpenAtlas instance like every other system if you like. But feel free to add more context in case I misunderstood this topic.
