Description

To enable referencing various types with certain established and defined as well as online published it would be necessary to link a certain type to this persistent identifier of the respective classification, eg. link the material iron to the WikiData iron entity or especially for anthropological classifications to the respective permanent online identifiers.
Example: link tuberculosis found in a skeleton to the ICD-10 classification (International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems) of the WHO (https://icd.who.int/browse10/2016/en#/A15-A19)

In addition it would also be very beneficial if not only external references but also bibliographical references could be linked to a type entity.

+1 Stefan

I finished today with adding reference systems to types in the development version and put it online on demo-dev and THANADOS.

Because the OpenAtlas code undergoes major restructuring right now I didn't also implented references like bibliography, edition and external references to not overtax the version differences. Please be so kind and add an own issue for these if they are still needed.

You find reference systems on the start page, there is a button called "Reference Systems". Sorry, I got it wrong in the newsletter where I wrote it's in admin.
In general you can also use the in application manual where you should find it quickly in the menu or using the search.
