Feature #1593

Adding multiple aliases at once instead one at a time
Added by Sebastian Majstorovic about 3 years ago.
Updated almost 3 years ago.
Description
It is rather cumbersome at the moment to enter multiple aliases for an entity. Adding an alias currently requires to submit the entire insert/update form for an entity, clicking on the "Edit" button again and repeating the process for each alias. Would it perhaps be possible to dynamically add alias fields to the entity form using JavaScript without submitting the form each time?
Possible implementations:
– a small "+"-button next to the alias field
– automatically adding another blank field as soon as the user starts entering characters in the previous alias field
- Status changed from New to Acknowledged
- Target version set to Wishlist
Agreed, this would be a good user interface improvement.
I put this on the wishlist because at the moment Christoph, our frontend developer, is focused on the generic presentation site for OpenAtlas data (OpenAtlasDiscovery).
Luckily it looks like we get a second frontend developer who will be in charge of UI improvements beginning next year and this seems like a good task to start.
Thank you for reporting.
