OpenAtlas

Hi everyone,
I created three "wireframe" layouts for you to consider. Everything is a placeholder and not a design element. I only thought about how to organize the content of the posters to good effect and let the features take the spot light. Please have a look and discuss or add thoughts if you see fit.

Page 1: Works best with only 4 features or feature groups. The logo is center stage with the features grouped around in no apparent order. Each feature stands on it's own and "feeds" OpenAtlas in the middle.
Page 2: The features are organized like a simple list, one below the other. That can also work in two columns but may look too crowded, depending on the amount of text. Some thought needs to go into ranking the features if you don't want to use the sequence in the wiki.
Page 3: To "lighten up" the poster, we can also go an even more visually structured route. This can look a little like an infographic but needs a bit of structuring because the features are perceived even more sequentially. That automatically creates a narrative hierarchy and you may not want that.

I am looking forward to feedback and creating the final piece when I return to work in a week!

Thanks a lot for the draft Jan! I slightly prefere page 3 but as Bernhard pointed out we cannot structure our features as sequence. Therefore I vote for page 1 as well.
Would it be possible to have fewer Colors in the feature section for page 1 (e.g. one green and white) as backgrounds? As it is right now I think there's too many different colors which might be distracting if they occupy such a large area. Maybe something along the lines of the file I've attached.

I incorporated all the changes and corrections we discussed yesterday in this new version of the poster. It's in A3 right now, so you can print it out on your office printer. The final version to send to the convention will be prepared according to the specifications (thanks @Alexander Watzinger)!

I appreciate feedback and will prepare the final file in A0 after a final approval!

I edited the headline section and "unbolded" the second line. I would suggest to have first and second line in the same color to glue them together visually. In the last pdf it's quite clear that the headline has two parts: title (everything in black) and subline (green). That still works when two different font weights are used but the more attributes are changed, the harder it will become to quickly read it.

But let me know if you want to to change it!

Thanks everybody for providing all materials and copywriting very quickly and for all your timely and constructive feedback! The printable files are now ready for download as PDF/A - one version with, and one version without printer's cut marks. I've seen printers ask for one or the other, depending on their equipment, and so the people in Graz can chose the appropriate file.
